Sugars That Heal

Cancer, Heart Disease, and Diabetes are the three leading causes of premature death. The most important discovery of this past century for the Immune System may be something called Glyconutrients. Med Factors™ includes these healing sugars which give your body's cells what they need to communicate with each other properly (all disease is a result of cell to cell communication failure at some level), so your body can repair, rebuild, regenerate, regulate, cleanse and restore itself

Vitamin A

General Description: The first vitamin discovered is good for vision -especially in dim light, and for healthy skin, hair, and mucous membranes of the nose, throat, respiratory system, and digestive system.  It stimulates healing of wounds and is used to treat skin disorders.  It is important to healthy teeth and bone structure.  Beta Carotene, a form of Vitamin A, is a pigment found in plant life.  Your skin stores Beta Carotene and your body metabolizes it to produce Vitamin A as needed.  Beta Carotene is an essential antioxidant and supports immune system function. It may help prevent some cancers and some vision problems such as night blindness.  Beta Carotene may also help lower cholesterol levels and reduce risk of heart disease.

Signs of Deficiencies: Acne, night blindness, immune weakness, skin disorders, gastric ulcers, tissue repair problems

RDA:  5,000 IU Men 4,000 IU Women

ODA: 5,000-10,000;  Beta Carotene 25,000 IU

MED FACTORSTM: 1000 IU as Palmitate: 5,000 IU as Beta Carotene

Other Names: Retinene, retinoic acid, retinal, retinyl palmitate

Warning:  It is fat soluble.  Vitamin A is stored in the body long term.  Toxicity is possible.   Beta Carotene is not associated with over-use and toxicity, even in high potencies.  Pregnant women should not exceed 2,500 IU of Vitamin A daily.

Side Effects:  None expected at DV

Recommendation:  No additional Vitamin A beyond MED FACTORSTM is needed.

Vitamin B1 Thiamine

General Description: Thiamine is called the energy vitamin because it is needed to metabolize carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. It helps convert them to glucose stored in fat. Thiamine also ensures proper nerve impulse transmission and contributes to mental health.

Side Effects: None Expected

Recommendation: Additional Thiamine beyond MED FACTORSTM  is not recommended.

Vitamin B2 Riboflavin

General Description: Riboflavin is necessary for red blood cell formation, antibody production, cell respiration, and growth.  It reduces eye fatigue and helps prevent cataracts. It aids in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Together with Vitamin A, it improves the mucous membranes in the digestive tract. Riboflavin facilitates the use of oxygen in the tissues of the skin, nails, and hair -and helps in the absorption of B6 and iron.  Carpel tunnel syndrome has been linked to a deficiency of Riboflavin.  Thiamine has a synergistic with Riboflavin.

Deficiencies: Anemia. Arteriosclerosis, baldness, bladder infections, carpal tunnel, cataracts, hypoglycemia, immune system disorders, mental disorders, muscle disease, morning sickness, obesity, sickle cell anemia, stress, depression, trembling
